Bangkok Brew Thai Milk Green Tea Honest Review
November 10, 2020
This was gifted to my sister for her birthday, but of course, I also had a sip… and was BLOWN AWAY. It’s sooo good!!! I know I’m pre-empting things, so here we go.
Verdict: Bangkok Brew’s Matcha Milk Tea is to die for!
What we tried
- Thai Milk Green Tea (PHP 150/Liter)
Packaging
Literally nothing to write home about. It’s placed in a liter plastic bottle, and sealed with their sticker logo. While it doesn’t make for a pretty photo, it more than makes up for it taste-wise! Plus, I feel pretty happy knowing that I’m not paying additional money for ridiculously pretty packaging that I will never ever use again.
Taste
The Thai Milk Green Tea is made from fragrant green tea leaves that’s all natural and all fresh. While this sounds promising, I was a bit worried that it might taste herbal. To my surprise, it was refreshingly flowery in taste (not grassy at all!). On top of that, the liquid texture itself was just right – not too liquid-y but not cloyingly thick either. Instead, it was the right level of creamy, without overpowering the matcha flavor. The sweetness could be brought down a bit, but overall, a very refreshing drink in the middle of the afternoon
If I had to gripe, I’d say I wasn’t very fond of the sweet aftertaste, and I ended up drinking some water to make sure my sensitive throat wouldn’t develop a cough. Having said that, this is the norm for milk tea, so I should’ve expected this already!
To sum up, I am super happy with this and I look forward to trying out the other variants: the Original Thai Milk Tea, and the Thai Milk Rose Tea (doesn’t this sound intriguing??)
