Polaris Fine Foods Chirashi Cake Honest Review

Wow – I am left speechless, first at seeing the Polaris Fine Food’s Chirashi Cake a friend gifted us, and again, upon tasting it.

I mean, will you just look at that? Presentation-wise, it is simply stunning. It’s a true celebratory centerpiece. Honestly, just look at all those sushi toppings! It’s a mix of:

  • Maguro (Yellowfin Tuna)
  • Otoro (Bluefin Tuna)
  • Sake (Salmon)
  • Hamachi (Yellowtail)
  • Ika (Cuttlefish)
  • Kajiki (Blue Marlin)
  • Hotate (Japanese scallop)
  • Ebi (Shrimp)
  • Uni (Sea Urchin Roe)
  • Grade A Salmon Roe
  • Tamago (Egg)

Then inside, we’ve got:

  • Sushi Rice
  • Wakame (Seaweed)

Taste-wise, it is SO good. The sushi – they are incredibly fresh. Polaris states that these are all airflown and never frozen. My taste buds can attest to that claim. Every bite is a revelation!

The insides are no different. You might think sushi rice and wakame might seem bland, but it’s also incredibly flavorful, serving as the perfect accompaniment to these sushi toppings.

Overall, this dish was SUCH a win. My friend was telling me this was just an appetizer, but it’s actually quite filling and can serve as a meal all on its own. The best part? It’s located in New Manila! So near me <3
