Stephens Brick Oven Pizza Honest Review
November 2, 2020
Stephens Brick Oven Pizza had an ongoing promo for the whole month of October (which they sporadically offer as well on weekends):
- Buy 3 12” pizzas for PHP 1000 (Save ~ PHP 200+)
- Buy 3 7” pizzas for PHP 500 (Save ~PHP 100+)
All flavors are included, except for:
- BRB: Bacon, Ricotta, Blueberries, Maple Syrup, Three Cheese
- The Works: Bacon, Sausage, Pepperoni, Shrimp, Anchovies, Capers, Olives, Mushrooms, Bell peppers, Minced garlic, Onions, Four Cheese
- Grilled Veggies: Zucchini, Eggplant, Bell peppers, Arugula, Four cheese
Verdict: Extremely flavorful, but not groundbreaking
Packaging
The pizzas are cooked 9/10 of the way through, then frozen. This way, you can bake it yourself at a fraction of the time, AND eat the pizza fresh.
The frozen pizzas are then placed into a sealed plastic bag then a box. I had purchased three pizzas and initially thought they gave me the wrong order as they gave me two boxes only. Apparently, they’d placed two pizzas into one box. So check the contents of each box carefully 😉
Cooking Instructions
To finish cooking the pizza, pre-heat your oven to 245 deg C, then let the pizza cook for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese starts bubbling (whichever comes first).
Taste
I purchased three pizzas, but two flavors only: Surf & Turf and Muscle Up. Overall, I really liked the flavors of both the pizza flavors:
- Muscle Up: Bacon, Sausage, Mushroom, Onion, Parsley, Three Cheese
- Surf & Turf: Shrimp, Spanish Chorizo, Onion, Parsley, Three Cheese
Both flavors were good and intensely flavorful – I think largely because of the Three Cheese. I liked Surf & Turf better than Muscle Up though, because the Spanish Chorizo provided that extra kick to the flavor. Having said that, their taste profile were extremely similar and I probably wouldn’t be able to differentiate them if my eyes were closed
