Paulino Premium’s Caviar Cake with Graze Box Honest Review

I keep seeing caviar cake pop up on my feed, but never seriously considered buying them. One, it looks pricey, and two, I’ve tried caviar before. I liked the texture – really smooth and explodes with flavor when you bite into it… But that flavors tastes like… ocean water? It was alright. Interesting, but not something I would go out of my way to try.

So I was pleasantly surprised when my friends gifted me Paulino Premium’s Caviar Cake + Salmon Overload with Graze Box! In their own words, they weren’t 100% sure if I’d like the caviar cake either, but for sure, I’d like the salmon.

Let it never be said I’m not willing to try new things. But first – what exactly is in this caviar cake? Well, Paulino Premium’s Caviar Cake is made up of wasabi infused cream cheese, egg, chives, and onion, topped with imported, high-grade black caviar.

This is then paired with truffle honey, grapes, apricots, dates, pretzels, crackers and assorted nuts! Plus Skyflakes, when we ran out of crackers haha!

Initial trepidation aside, let me say – this is REALLY good. I was a bit worried about the caviar, but this one was good. Smooth, slightly nutty flavor? I thought it added rather than detracted from the rich cream cheese and egg flavor. To be honest, the vast majority of the cake is really cream cheese and egg, so it’s a good thing this is a pairing made in heaven.

Drizzle some truffle honey on top of the caviar cake slice, bite into an apricot or a grape afterwards, and the explosion of flavor will catch you by surprise. I actually forgot about the salmon!

Having said that, the caviar cake is very RICH in flavor. We got a 5″ cake, shared amongst 5 people, and we barely finished it. It’s really heavy… I highly suggest you get a smaller size and have it as an appetizer (although it’s certainly heavy enough to be a meal in and of itself).
