Manila Doughs Ube Spanish Bread Honest Review

Manila Doughs is a fairly new baking outfit that started during ECQ. Honestly, we have the outpouring of baked goodies and homecooked meal outfits to thank for the recent ECQ lockdown. Say one thing about Filipinos, it’s that they’re always on the lookout for opportunities to maximize, rather than wallowing in their own misery. Well, I’m happy to benefit from this, although my waistline might have a different opinion…

Anyway, without further ado, let’s discuss Manila Doughs’ Ube Spanish Bread.

Verdict: Soft, pillowy – an innovative take to the classic Spanish Bread

What else is there to say? Manila Doughs has an eclectic menu with different baked goodies ranging from Cinnamon Rolls (Cream Cheese or Chocolate Topping), White Chocolate Cookies (Ube, Matcha), Spanish Bread (original, ube), Bacon & Cheese Quichelettes, Ensaymada (Original, Ube Halaya), Spicy Pork Floss Buns, to name a few.

Of this though, I only had the good fortune to try the Ube Spanish Bread, but oh, it was delicious. Pillowy soft, chockfull of real ube halaya (I should know, my sister makes real ube halaya!) – this was a breakfast hit for my family. Highly recommend.
