See’s Candies Assorted Box Honest Review

I’ve never tried See’s Candies before. Honestly, I never even knew it existed. So when my friend was raving about it and saying “Oh these are the best chocolates ever,” I was kind of just nodding along. Honestly, I’m not a huge chocolate lover – although I do like them, I just don’t love them y’know?

Anyway! My friend gifted me a box!!! So nice of him hehe. So here I am, popping the box open and inviting you in to discover this box of See’s Candies together.

Right off the bat, the packaging is very impressive.

The black and white box it comes in feels very sturdy, very classic minimalist design. When you open it up, you’re greeted by a VERY sturdy bubble wrap (seriously, it’s actually a tougher bubble wrap compared to the ones we use to wrap our electrical products in), plus a brochure that introduces the See’s chocolate categories. I think this box was Nuts and Chews, which meant 240 Calories per serving size (3 pcs) aka 80 Calories per chocolate pc. Okay, noted!

I also really liked how See’s History was indicated on the box! How cool is it that they’re celebrating 100+ years – I’m eating a piece of history!

I was a bit bummed there was no product key though. I like having a product key, especially when it’s assorted flavors, so you can match what you’re eating against the actual name and content. Alas, it was not meant to be.

Having said that, I know what I really liked, and these chocolates – I like! I find that the chocolate-y creamy quality really shines through when there are no distractions (aka ignore the nuts and the chews). Incredibly luxurious taste. Beautiful texture and shine. I savor every bite omnomnom
