Hey Flaco Cheese Pastelitos / Flaky Cheese Puffs Honest Review

One of the reasons why I LOVE Christmas and birthdays is because I always get to discover new yummy places! Example for today: My friend gifted me a box of Hey Flaco’s Cheese Pastelitos for Christmas.

At first glance, I thought they were napoleones (but with a light dusting of sugar at the top, instead of a thin white sugar glaze).

Biting into it… The texture STILL tastes like napoleones, except instead of a sweet custard cream filling, here you’ve got a cream cheese filling. Also, the outer crust is just pure love, super flaky; and the insides really melt into your mouth. It’s like a croissant married a cream puff – if that makes any sense.

If you still can’t visualize it but have been to LA, this supposedly tastes A LOT like Porto Bakery’s Cheese Puff Pastry. Opinions vary on whether this is better or not, but they all agree that this is the BEST in Manila.
