Beef Bulgogi Kimchi Lettuce Cups DIY Recipe (w/ step by step instructions)

Woo this one’s a doozy. After weeks of eating meats in bulgogi sauce, I was on the lookout for an innovative new dish so I wouldn’t be stoned by my family. My gosh, who knew one liter of sauce would take so long to consume?!

Well, we have a winner here!! This Beef Bulgogi Kimchi Lettuce Cups is incredibly easy to make, incredibly tasty, AND somewhat healthy. A triple win in my books.

DELECTABLE DISH FOR THE DAY: BEEF BULGOGI KIMCHI LETTUCE CUPS

DIFFICULTY: Easy

SERVING SIZE: Good for 5 people

COOKING TIME: 30 minutes

INGREDIENTS FOR BEEF BULGOGI KIMCHI LETTUCE CUPS

  • 750g minced beef
  • 1 cup bulgogi sauce
  • 500g kimchi
  • Iceberg lettuce

STEP-BY-STEP PROCESS TO MAKE BEEF BULGOGI KIMCHI LETTUCE CUPS

  • Wash the lettuce first and leave it to dry

  • In a large bowl, combine the bulgogi sauce and the 750g minced beef. Mix until well combined
  • Heat the pan over high head. Add the beef mixture and allow to sear for ~5 minutes or until a deep brown crust is formed
  • Flip the beef in chunks. Let it cook, don’t keep mixing it. Once all the sides are cooked, break it up in chunks and stir-fry for another minute

  • Serve with kimchi and iceberg lettuce. I strained the kimchi sauce first and chopped it up, otherwise it would be a mess!!

  • But anyway, use the lettuce leaves as little cups, add the chopped kimchi, then the beef mixture. Bite into it and savor the bulgogi goodness

  • Bon Appetit!
