Cow Cow Ice foodie experience (UP Town Center)

While waiting for my movie to start (Spiderman: Into the Spider-verse is AMAZING – do watch if you’re a comic book fan!), I decided to wander around UP Town Center in search of something sweet to snack on

Two floors down from the cinema, I encountered Cow Cow Ice – which looked really interesting (and is affiliated with the Tokyo Milk Cheese Factory). The Hokkaido-style soft serve ice cream looked mouthwatering, and they had a “promo” where you could get the soft-serve Hokkaido milk blended with mascarpone cheese, a slice of Japanese cheesecake, and 3 pieces of Salt and Camembert Cookie for PHP 300. Normally, this would cost PHP 450 (soft-serve ice cream at PHP 150, cheesecake at PHP 120, and each cookie at PHP 60 each)

Pricey isn’t it? But look at that baby!

Verdict? The Salt and Camembert Biscuit doesn’t go well with the soft-serve ice cream, and is best eaten separately… The Japanese cheesecake though, was pillowy soft and unbelievably yummy (undoubtedly the real star of the night!); whereas the soft-serve Hokkaido milk was pleasing, but nothing memorable. All in all, very expensive at PHP 300, but an interesting experience

Having said that, I loved the Japanese cheesecake so much, I actually planned to buy one whole cake home… until I saw the price. Wow, one whole cheescake costs PHP 1,050. I think I’ll try baking one at home instead (or at least, I’ll ask my sister – the budding baker – to try and replicate it instead)

Cow Cow Ice is available at SM Megamall, NAIA Terminal 3, Power Plant Mall, UP Town Center, and Alabang Town Center
