Caden’s Handcrafted Donut Bites Honest Review
December 26, 2020
Donuts are a dime a dozen in the Philippines, with Dunkin’ Donuts, JCO, Krispy Kreme on the like proving heavyweights in the metro. Caden’s is a relatively newcomer though, with a signature dough that’s pillowy soft and decadent to the bite. More importantly, the price points are generous and they provide innovative Filipino flavors, such as Mangoes and Cream, Yema Tablea, Choco-Nut and Cheesy Yema.
For today, I’ll be reviewing Caden’s donut bites – one of which are filled with just custard balls, while the other is a variety of flavors (although you can’t choose the flavor, and is dependent on available stock in the stores.
Verdict: Bite-sized goodness at competitive prices
How much do Caden’s Donut Bites cost?
- A box of 16 custard balls will cost you PHP 120
- A box of 12 flavored donut bites will cost you PHP 130
Was Caden’s Donut Bites worth it?
Yes! Pillowy soft is absolutely right. While Caden’s mostly sells regular-shaped donuts, I find I prefer their donut bites because they’re incredibly easy to pop into your mouth and just munch away.
Of the different flavors I’ve tried, I actually loved the custard ball waay more than the other flavors. It’s difficult to beat a simple classic done right. Biting into this bits allows the custard to ooze into your mouth. It’s even better when chilled. Yum!
Fair word of warning though, the presentation will NOT survive the bumpy ride to your home if you choose to have it picked up through courier. You can see the photo for reference.
