Healthy Greek Chicken Breasts with Tzatziki Sauce DIY Recipe (with step-by-step instructions)

I saw this recipe on Tidily Ever After’s IG, and it looked really simple to make so I thought, why not?
Well, I’m happy to announce that it really is simple to make AND it’s so tasty too! I really like it, and have earmarked this recipe for the future too.
DELECTABLE DISH FOR THE DAY: HEALTHY GREEN CHICKEN BREASTS WITH TZATZIKI SAUCE
DIFFICULTY: Easy

COOKING TIME: 30 minutes
INGREDIENTS FOR THE HEALTHY GREEK CHICKEN BREASTS WITH TZATZIKI SAUCE
Marinade:
- 1 cup Greek Yogurt (around 240 mL)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp paprika
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 lemon, juiced and zest
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1/2 garlic, minced
- 1 kg boneless chicken breast
Tzatziki Sauce
- 1 cup Green Yogurt (around 240 mL)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp mint jelly
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 cucumber, grated
Others
- 10 pcs pita bread (I used Deli-Sun Plain Flour Wrap from Landers)
- 2 cucumber, chopped
STEP-BY-STEP PROCESS TO COOK HEALTHY GREEK CHICKEN BREASTS WITH TZATZIKI SAUCE
STEP 1: Marinade the chicken
- Mix together the 1 cup Greek yogurt, 2 tbsp olive oil, 2 tbsp paprika, 1 tsp cumin, 1 tsp cinnamon, lemon juice and zest, 2 tsp salt, 1 tsp pepper, minced garlic to create the chicken marinade
- Place the chicken into the marinade and leave it in the refrigerator overnight
STEP 2: Pan fry the chicken
- Grill or pan fry the chicken until fully cooked, then cut into strips. I made the mistake of cutting it into strips BEFORE pan frying, which made it such a pain to pan fry.
STEP 3: Create the tzatziki sauce
- Mix together 1 cup Greek yogurt, 2 tbsp olive oil, 1 tbsp lemon juice, 1 1/2 tsp salt, 2 tbsp mint jelly, 2 tsp garlic powder, 1/2 grated cucumber. You can adjust this according to your taste. For example – I like mine really sweet so I kept adding more mint jelly to the mix. Refrigerate until ready to serve
STEP 4: Prepare the other toppings
- Chop up two cucumbers. These will serve as the sides
- Toast the pita bread
STEP 5: Bon Appetit!
