Corazon’s Ube Decadence and Coffee Decadence Honest Review

Corazon’s Ube Decadence is really famous in Bataan and was awarded by Philippine Daily Inquirer as the Best Dessert (Top 5) in the country. Well, it’s good but I wouldn’t say it’s the best. I won’t pre-empt my review.

First, let’s discuss why Corazon’s Ube Decadence is so famous, and what exactly is it. Well, this is panna cotta made from pure and fresh cow’s milk which results in its famous silky smooth texture. It now actually comes in multiple flavors, so I decided to try both the Ube Decadence and the Coffee Decadence.

Of the two, I preferred the Coffee Decadence, which reminded me of Kopiko in flavor. I like Kopiko, so this is definitely a compliment. And they’re right, the texture is really silky smooth!

I didn’t like the Ube Decadence much actually. I found it too sweet and rather cloying. I ended up with a sore throat the next day… Yeah, I have a very sensitive throat – eat too much sweets, and it protests the next day unless I drink tons and tons and tons of water immediately after. One wonders why I’m still so fond of sweets…

Anyway, overall, I’m glad I got to try these local delicacies, but I should really remember to drink more water next time!
